@afewbugs@social.coop I went fully vegan for two years when I lived near a large south Asian food store. There I could buy basically every variety of legume (name it - chickpeas, split peas, lentils, mung beans - they stocked it!) in bulk for a few quid, along with giant bags of rice at what were effectively trade prices. Also nuts and seeds, dried fruits, big tins of spinach and much else. Where I live now, the local availability of produce is such that a fully plant-based diet would be unaffordable. 😢
