I feel like skilled trades seem to be where the demand center of mass has shifted. Welders, electricians, pharmacy technicians, CDL drivers, sonographers, RNs, mechanics, merchant mariners, etc. Here’s a list of allegedly bright outlook career fields: www.onetonline.org/find/bright?b=1 If I were young and fit enough, I’d look into enlisting in the Coast Guard to be an aviation mechanic. My cousin loved her job doing that. It’s the military, but it’s the only branch with humanitarian missions as its primary purpose. It’s more about search and rescue, pollution cleanup, disaster response, and keeping ferries safe for public use.
