Everyone wants to make the next Fortnite, GTA, or Destiny. For the love of God, stop chasing other games. Make your own game and let it stand on its own merits. It doesn’t have to be a live service. It doesn’t need engagement metrics designed to appease shareholders. It doesn’t need to chase whatever trend is currently making someone else money. It just needs to be a good game. Stop trying to replicate things you clearly don’t understand and haven’t been able to reproduce successfully. Have some original ideas, take some creative risks, and make something worth playing on its own merits.
