@david_castleton I really need to read the original novel, which I never have. I recently read "Carmilla" which is said to be the first vampire novella.

@croyle@wandering.shop The first vampire novel was 'The Vampyre' by John William Polidori, who was the personal doctor of Lord Byron. The vampire character was based on Byron.
