I've been in reasonably good shape my whole life. For all of the thousands of hours I've spent in the gym, I have literally never seen someone shame or mock someone else for getting out there and trying. Now, maybe that's the bubble of SoCal? I've never been severely obese myself, but I was up at 240 at one point.

Hearing that women have it harder than men wouldn't surprise me. But either way, doing the work is better than not doing the work. And the sort of people who *would* mock that are assholes. Wear whatever the hell you like as long as your junk isn't hanging out.
