Mississippi law enforcement is doing something today. In one day I got stopped three times to show my license. They were stopping everybody.
Once on US 80, in between Jackson and Pearl, over by the I-55 interchange.
Twice on US 49 North of Yazoo City, once on 49 West where it joins East and once on 49 East at the Chemical Plant.

At the US-80 stop I asked if they were looking for DUI's and after a pause the officer said yeah. At the 49 West stop I asked if a prisoner had escaped (because we got three prisons in this town). The officer said, no, this is just something they do from time to time to keep everybody safe. At the 49 East stop I asked if ICE is coming and the officer asked me if my tags were up to date or is this a rental car. #acab
