@mallory_sinn@hachyderm.io hmm i picked the earliest one but i didn't think i was going to pursue any medical transition for about five years and since instead of an egg crack i had a slow drip of molasses for many years before that, i picked the year i found words for it and came out

@forestine@sunny.garden slow drip of molasses is a great metaphor! That was me 2012 - 2019, until a full on egg cracking and no going back. Like, reading about Laura Jane Grace coming out…it caused something to click in my brain that slowly dripped and pooled. Then my roommate came out, and bit more dripping. And just small things building ever so slowly to finally get through to me
