Doing battle with software to migrate Danielle’s data from her 2015 Intel Macbook Pro to her new M4 Mac Air. Should be as easy as restoring her last Time Machine backup over the network, right? Hahaha! You know better than that! Sometimes the new Mac sees the Time Machine server but says “No volume present”. Oh wait, I can see the backup but now the restore hangs mysteriously. Now the connection drops in the middle and the restore fails. Feeling bad for anybody doing this who doesn’t have years of IT experience.
