One of the main characters in WJW's Praxis novels is Sula, described as a transparent-pale, white-blonde beauty with green eyes, of old Patrician descent.... though really she is a plebeian who happens to be identical in appearance to the real Sula, who she helps towards an overdose, and whose life she takes over. So we have a theme of (pseudo-) twins, we have white-blonde, we have patricians, and we have Sula (one l). Ofc, this immediately reminds us of Fausta Cornelia, daughter of Lucius Cornelius Sulla Felix and twin sister of Faustus Cornelius Sulla... however, there seems to be no source for her being blonde except the SPRQ novels, where she is described as an ice-blonde with brilliant blue eyes. Ah well. FWIW, her father is reported to have been red-blonde with blue eyes, so 🤷‍♀️ (Maybe WJW also read the SPQR novels?)
