The “Eternity Glaciers” Are Almost Gone
The equatorial glaciers atop Puncak Jaya, Oceania’s tallest peak, have shrunk by about 95% since 2002, according to a new photogrammetry mapping effort.

@PoLaRobs@fediscience.org I wonder if modeling even exists to know if some of the incredible storms in recent years would have been dampened by the cold air coming off the glaciers 😢
