There are good news too, but those NEED to be told to everyone. A CVE is very important to get it out as fast and to many possible. But if something good happens, it doesn’t have the urgency and need to reach everyone in short possible time. Plus bad news are for most people more interesting and get you clicks too, just to add to the fuel. And Ai doesn’t help with that either. Therefore its only natural that we see more bad news than good news.

There’s something interesting, if not encouraging: AlpineBSD is an operating system based on the NetBSD kernel with a userspace inspired by Alpine Linux and the objective to use as little AI-generated software as possible.

Serbia recently democratically ousted their fascist leadership and are in the process of replacing it with people from a curated list of teachers and professionals that students have spent the last few years compiling via open democratic debate.

CVEs mean the issues are getting found and fixed instead of sitting on a three letter agency arsenal. they are good news, and all the end-user has to do is update.
