And it sometimes means you have to search a bit and then you find a cluster of accounts that all boost each other and comment on each other. On that note, I had a friend ask me about #kpop fandoms on the fedi the other day and so I humbly ask for recommendations to follow so I can pass them on. Second side note: I recommend #Monsterdon and #HashtagGames for shenanigans. Third side!note: are we still doing follow fridays? Maybe we can get something like that going, especially if it’s interest-centric. Do it on a Saturday on an Any-day, let’s go. Like, follow this account for indie rock or 80’s mecha anime. (I need to continue #Macross. It’s literally free on YouTube or it was)

@HailsandAles@metalhead.club 1.9 million followers on Twitter, before Elon Musk. Nearly 2 million before I left Twitter for Mastodon. 60,000+ followers on Mastodon on day 1 of joining. Twitter is filth. We can agree on this. You've got more trolls than normal people on Twitter. But trolls move on. Trolls also troll everyone and don't laser focus on just one person. The Fediverse. Exposed two online scams with proof (photos, videos, documents, etc.). A completely dedicated campaign to "cancel" me and pressure admins/mods to join in. Forced to restart my following several times, despite admins/mods admitting I was right, but the "mob" was too much to deal with. Stalked for a few years on the Fedi to continue that agenda. One of those stalkers has a little over 100 accounts, the other 50. Somehow maintains more clout than I do, who did nothing wrong. You want to know why Bluesky was picked over Mastodon? Why Reddit isn't dead? They're more credible, manageable, and less hateful. Post 1 of 2

Basically, it's a billboard with a Foghorn Leghorn looking dude eating chicken, and Chris captioned it with, "Cannibalism?" That is Mastodon to me. Chris with his funny and goofy shit that makes me laugh through holes in my eyes... ;>)

@HailsandAles@metalhead.club The theme of "general dislike" is quite common on many social media, so much that some of them are particularly dedicated to foster hate and disdain. This is an issue covered by some experts like Cathy O'Neal. That said, a good practice of living should go to grow interest in positive activities, especially when we rationally realize the aforementioned as unavoidable to happen, here and there. The search for healthier interests should be a first personal growth objective.

Say Tr..p if you mean Tr..p! I also, kick myself for doing it. And I do wonder if the whole thread needs the same keyword in every toot. #Fediverse

@HailsandAles@metalhead.club I have a lot of political stuff on my timeline, mostly UK, EU, and US, with increasing amounts of AUS, NZ, Canada, and Ireland, because i seem to be gathering followers in those countries. I also have a lot of dogs and cats, mosstodon, flowers, dad jokes, monsterdon, hashtag games, random funnies, music, art, writing, photography and other stuff that makes life worthwhile. I love seeing people get passionate about their hobbies and pet projects, even things I have no interest in - wearable LEDs, 18th century dress making, home automation, gardening, it doesnt matter - if you write about it, there is a good chance I'll read it. People who think that the lack of an algorithm here makes Fedi boring just aren't interested in making it work, and would rather have something, anything, spoonfed to them, just like on the big commercial data silos.
