There won't be any rent controls, because the government don't want to reduce the effects of the cost of living forever crisis and seem to enjoy giving £billions to the landlords via housing benefit. Why change what works in the trickle up hellhole?

@Skembear@mastodon.social In 1975, 80% of government housing expenditure went on the construction of social housing; by 2000, 85% was instead going directly to landlords, via housing benefit. The UK has never recovered from Thatcherism / Reaganomics.
