@Melezioh@mstdn.games A lot of folk enjoy keeping things very binary - good or bad, no middle grays of less bad or more good. It must be nice being able to to just throw out everything because of one issue, and not recognizing that people's political opinions are usually a spectrum that sometimes aligns with one's own. I'd love for actual 3rd parties to stand a real chance at winning national elections, it'd make things so much better. But that's not the reality we live in here in the US. Gotta build these groups up from local- and state-level elections so that they can actually step in, but that's decades away. And we don't really have decades to go "slow backsliding on rights is the exact same as watching them fall off a cliff". One takes years to build back up to where we were, the other takes generations.
