@octothorpe@mastodon.online I think they're useful idiots. Well meaning (White) liberals. The same people that sang Cheney's praises. I don't recall but Carmen may have been on that train too.
Like I'm glad MGT and Cheney saw the evils of their party but neither walked back any of their contributions. MGT certainly hasn't stopped being vile, she just isn't doing it at the federal level.

@jwilker@wandering.shop exactly. They’re not *not* vile people, it’s just that, in this specific instance, they happen to have an opinion about something I don’t entirely reject. That doesn’t however mean they get my respect, or absolution in any way.
