Dear swarm intelligence, once again I need your wisdom. I need to build a little one-pager website for a reocurring consultant job. It's supposed to be like an extended web-resume, where potential clients can check out my experience and past gigs and get an idea of me and what I do. Now I do have the means to self-host the thing, but I'm looking for a sevice to build it and export it. Maybe something that offers templates and preferably something that has a basic package for free. If there ist something you can recommend, it will be greatly appreciated! #website #webdevelopment #advice #fedihelp

@strang_out@punkstodon.de get a W3CSS template https://www.w3schools.com/w3css/w3css_templates.asp And then you just edit the HTML file the simplest method - bt finding some particular text you want to change when looking at it in the web browser and then changing it when looking at it in the notepad app

@strang_out@punkstodon.de Hi Dani, If you don't have anything against having a "powered by..." on your footer, I guess bearblog.dev should be enough. The free version should be fine, but if you want to add your own domain, then they have a pro version (including lifetime, with image uploading and javascript support). You can also det it up as private. If you're interested, they have many helping blogs from the community. They're usually linked on their docs page. Pure oldschool HTML/CSS. Now, if you want to self-host it, there are pros and cons. Important is that it should have SSL (httpS), otherwise it can be flagged as not secure. Lemme know if you need help.
