I’m still really bitter about our favorite café having to close this past new year. Because I expected there surely would be someone who would gladly pour money into such a wonderful place to keep it going. But no. Instead this lady steamrolled over the whole place and started a pizzeria. Where there are several within a two block radius. My issue with her place is mainly professional, I question her insistence on importing ingredients instead of only using local. Anyway, my biggest issue is the fact that we lost an amazing café. The roastery is still there, but even that has had to cut down on the selection, they now only make three different coffees. Their best sellers, obviously, but they had so many wonderful blends they carefully curated themselves. They’re all gone now. I had a dream about the place last night and woke up so angry again I couldn’t get back to sleep…
