This Day in Science Fiction: Happy 41st birthday, Iwan Rheon! And the 1962 book Seven Days in May by Fletcher Knebel and Charles W. Bailey predicts that in 1971, The United States goes to war in Iran. Thankfully, no. https://thisdayinscifi.blogspot.com/2015/05/13-may-2015.html

This Day in Science Fiction: Happy 48th birthday, Caroline Dhavernas! I loved the show Wonderfalls. And H.G. Wells in his 1902 book Anticipations tries to predict the future of naval warfare and does a pretty bad job of it. He thought submarines were going to be useless. https://thisdayinscifi.blogspot.com/2015/05/15-may-2015.html

This day in Science Fiction: Happy 81st birthday, Francesca Annis! https://thisdayinscifi.blogspot.com/2015/05/14-may-2015.html And Woldemar Kampfert in the June 28, 1913 issue of Outlook redicts βOver citiesβ¦ the aerial sentry will be found. A thousand aeroplanes flying to the opera must be kept in line and each allowed to alight upon the roof of the auditorium in its proper turn.β Not only no, but HELLZ, NO! Bonus: A whole bunch of nepotism. https://thisdayinscifi.blogspot.com/2015/05/14...
