  Hubby has an early day tomorrow so breakfast casserole in the slow cooker. Eggs with peppers, onions, mushrooms, diced sweet potatoes and bacon bits.

  I’m back with the finished project I’ve been playing with. FOPRR sent me a message to tell me they love my toys at the OLCJC, and wondered if I could crochet a buffalo for the Lakota kids. I found a pattern online (Sweet Oddity Arts on Etsy), reworked part of the body, and this is the finished product. It sits about 9 inches tall, not super big, but big enough for cuddling. I’m definitely adding more of these to the project lineup.

  Good morning! A box ready to go to UPS for the kids on the rez. Pulled a selection of brown yarns out to craft a few more buffalo toy. I turned the heat on a bit to knock the chill out of the air, and the infernal humidity is gone. It’s a good day!

  What is happening to the orange turd in Washington? I see snippets of his stupid rallies here and there. In audiences with kids here and there behind him, he goes on and on describing men’s and women’s bodies in salacious detail. I know he’s an old pervert, but he’s got no filter left, does he? Not that he ever had much of a filter, but he’s saying things in public that he used to share when cameras were off.

  5 more days of political ads. Here in PA, there’s an entirely AI generated ad against Josh Shapiro. It’s filled with lies and a hateful representation of trans folk, and outright admits the entire ad is AI. They are running a truncated version removing the admission that it’s AI. I want to throw stuff at the tv when I see it. This isn’t the election to sit it out. GET OUT AND VOTE! The Republican party is irredeemable and needs to be crushed and ground into dust. They have no soul.

  It’s a little after midnight and I’m making breakfast. My husband leaves very early to teach a diving class tomorrow, so I prepare a breakfast casserole the night before. I’m not an early riser, like he is.

  I was up into the wee hours of the morning, woke up around 8:30 and just can’t get moving today. I’m going to put my hands to work and finish crocheting that doll. I’ve been taking photos at every stage, and if you’re interested, I can post photos of how one of my dollies is created.

  This is what the kids are getting. We are a no-candy house this year. I can leave these alone. Snickers and peanut butter cups? Not so much.

  Day after and we have 10 packs of various snack cakes left. Not that the kids didn’t like them - they were very happy to see them. We only got 16 kids stopping here. Every year there are fewer and fewer kids coming by. Glad I have snack cakes left over and not candy. I would single-handedly finish off leftover chocolate.
