My father’s RAF aircrew, in WWII, included men from the US. They risked their lives together every day, to fight against fascism, and to secure future freedom for everyone. And so it breaks my heart to watch an infantile thug, posing as a president but operated by an ex-KGB megalomaniac, not only destroying everything that millions died to save, but also engineering a situation where the people of the US and those of the UK could realistically become military enemies. #Trump #Putin #Ukraine

X is a toxic cesspit, poisoned beyond salvageability. So, why do celebrities who purport to be angry about all things unethical stay there? It’s because they’re terrified of losing their hoards of adoring followers. Do they not realise that, if people genuinely adore them, they will follow them to another, decentralised and unshittified platform, such as the one you’re using now? Do they not realise that, all the time they stay on X, they are keeping that hellhole alive? #X #Musk #StopFascism

@rbreich Thank you for your Guardian article on Monday. For the many who care on this side of the pond, it was a small beacon of hope in the darkness. I hope...we all hope..that you're right. Happy New Year

Less than a century ago, millions of young people, including nearly half a million from the US, gave their lives fighting fascism, in order to protect freedom. Already, the world is becoming a putrid insult to their memory. #Fascism #US #Russia #China #Israel

We spoke recently about the anguish felt by many in the US, and the anger and fear felt by many of us elsewhere. I wish I had wise words of comfort but, after this week's events, I feel like I have been kicked in the stomach. Instead, I offer someone else's talents, to enjoy. I think the music, lyrics, and video encapsulate what we feel for each other here on this platform. There is no shame in being afraid. Hold tight. Somehow, we will make it through this together. https://m...
