Long-term carbon-climate system is more sensitive to biological dynamics than previously expected, which may help to explain large shifts in Phanerozoic climate. https://www.science.org/doi/10.1126/sciadv.adj4408

Today begins my journey as Professor for mechanistic/process-oriented modeling of biodiversity and ecosystems at Goethe University (Frankfurt), at the Center for Critical Computational Studies and Senckenberg. From rethinking classical dynamics to modeling biodiversity futures, the goal is to integrate data, theory, and disciplines to understand how life emerges, persists, and responds to change. I feel lucky and grateful to all mentors, friends, family, and colleagues who made this possible.
