  Today's Starlink Ratfuck Up until a few days ago Ukraine used Starlink's high velocity Starshield service to defend their country. In the middle of the night, with no warning, during a Russian attack Starshield was cut off. People died. Starshield still has not been restored.   Folks, we had two important years to build public social media independent from corporate control. Today with Meta's censorship of Indivisible we are seeing the result of the left not investing sufficient time and effort in creating a public option. This will only get worse as we approach the election. And don't think Bluesky is safe. Thank goodness for the Fediverse. As miniscule as we are, we are still a beacon of truth that is defensible against big tech hegemony.
