  @cmniciosaig I think that I always just decide I’m going to give it a go…and then I figure it out, make a few mistakes, get frustrated change my approach a bit, and then end up with what I was going for, so I haven’t learned my lesson yet. In other words; just give it a go, worst case you waste a little time and some money and have to feel like a giant failure and get someone else to fix it! (Hasn’t happened yet, and I’m sure if I can do it, anyone can!).

  Omg people. Our ring captured this last night. Cat fight (neither of our cats involved) being broken up by a raccoon!! That black cat is the cheeky one that keeps coming into our house to eat.

  So my project during this period of unemployment called the #WGAStrike (hope it gets settled in their favour and soon!) has been to start a knitting and crochet club in my neighbourhood. Apparently a lot of kids wanted to learn and no one knew enough to teach them…so there I was minding my own business and now suddenly I have arrangements with the local library and a group of students meeting weekly! It’s fun for me, though I’m hoping I can find other volunteer teachers soon! #crafty

  I saw the new Disney movie that totally should have been a Halloween release and while I enjoyed it (it’s fun but not GREAT) and while I am totally pro the WGA getting what they need from the AMPTP, the writer who wrote “stepped foot” into that movie needs to be kicked out of the Union. I will let many idiotic things slide but a professional writer SHOULD know it’s bloody SET goddamn foot. Or simply stepped. Ruined the entire movie (#KiddingNotKidding) #PetPeeve

  Finally! It’s been 2 whole years but I’m on my way “home”. Looking forward to seeing my sister’s new house! Dragging James with me and leaving our cats and house with our very good friend and capable cat sitter, so fingers crossed for a smooth trip and a good time with friends and family!

  It has been a while…I’m still unemployed, but I do have 4 days of work at the beginning of August (kinda sad that 4 days is a cause for celebration!). Meanwhile it’s been crochet and kittens round here! I’ve been fostering 5 bottle babies, and now they are past the sleep and eat, rinse and repeat stage I am actually looking forward to handing them over to the rescue for adoption. Yes they are adorable, and I love them all! But they are totally exhausting…

  Well I think this is the final season of the USA. 😭 I am soooo depressed today. I had a horrible dream last night about the SS showing up at my door, demanding my passports and then carting me off. I woke up and checked the election results and now I’m worried that my nightmare may come true. I’m thankful I live in a blue state, but the whole world is going to suffer.

  @Delphi I’m trying…but it’s going to take few years unless I want to screw up my retirement and take a big financial loss. If it gets any worse here though, I’ll bolt. Money can’t bring you back from the dead.

  I deleted my symbol formerly known as Twitter accounts today…since I hadn’t actually used them in 3-4 years it wasn’t a big deal, shoulda done it a while back but I was lazy. #cleanup

  Two more days before I head back to the US for 3 months. Being bi-continental is unsettling. Work would help, but there is slim chance of that these days.
