Today I learned that the reason the DOGE commission is working so fast is that they&#39;re mostly using &quot;AI&quot; (i.e., LLMs) to make their recommendations/decisions. So the same systems that claim water can&#39;t freeze @ 27 degrees are restructuring our government.

Cognitive Scientists: General learning systems are great and all, but you need to add structure and heuristics in order to build human like intelligence. What about adding reasoning models to your LLMs. AI Companies: Ya&#39;ll are crazy. We just need all the data and energy in the world and AGI will magically appear. I finished the wonderful biography this morning &quot;How to Stand Up to a Dictator&quot; by Maria Ressa. Ressa is a hero to look up to. What I found most interesting, however, was her ire directed at Mark Zuckerberg. It think it explains his current off the wall behavior since Trump&#39;s reelection.
