What it is

Elektrine is one account for email, chat, a social feed, files, passwords, DNS, and a VPN.

New accounts start with a few limits that lift as the account builds trust, and Premium raises storage and sending limits.

The vision

Most people spread these things across a dozen companies and a dozen logins.

Elektrine puts them under one account, and everything speaks standard protocols, so you can take your data with you.

Who is behind the project

Elektrine is built and run by one person.

Based in Detroit, Michigan.

How it works

Mail, contacts, and calendars use standard protocols (IMAP, SMTP, JMAP, CardDAV, and CalDAV), so any client that speaks them works.

Built with Elixir and Phoenix.

Federation

Social federation is built around ActivityPub.

Chat federation uses Arblarg, a server-to-server protocol between domains.

Optional Bluesky integration can connect public social posting to ATProto services.
