@datarama @cocaine_owlbear @cstross @emenel @zzt Oh, my doctorate is in historical musicology which is, arguably at least, not strictly relevant here. My tokay gecko was exactly like your friend's. She loved hanging out with (or on) me, hated everybody else, especially my roommate. My theory is that he was mean to her; ditto for everybody else in the world. The gecko is never to blame. I had her for 29 years and was so upset when she died that I couldn't get another one.

@erikosterholm @justinhiltz @siracusa I had a similar reaction, I think it means it is using stolen IP training data that makes the character look like living people, e.g. Aubrey Plaza. I registered a different actress but the point stands. Just because it is a smoothed average of a couple faces doesn't make this any less ethically problematic.
