Reading the reviews at the back of this month's SFX magazine and they gave the Lanterns tv series five stars with a heading that says "One of the most respectful comic adaptations ever." Huh? It's certainly not respectful to the Green Lantern comics and it's a terrible tv show. The leads, Aaron Pierre and Kyle Chandler are great but it's not an intergalactic space-cops series, it's a mess trying to mix small town True Detective with some misjudged social commentary. Worse, lots of it is boring.
