We have recorded 3.0 mm of rain here in Hermiston so far today. First rainfall since installing my new weather station and an impressive value for stratiform rain in the Columbia Basin.

@ingalls@mstdn.ca Wait you are back in the mid-Columbia? I just assumed previous references to Hermiston were you visiting. I'd hoped last night's rain was hard enough the lightning wouldn't start a fire, seems I was wrong. 😩 Hopefully the smoke will stay out of Richland tomorrow. Cool Desert Nights people would appreciate it but I'm doing my middle schooler bike safety class and we'll be outside most of tomorrow.
