@dansup@mastodon.social How might any of these additional DM features be affected by how fediverse works? Things seem pretty extensible, but I keep wondering if things are a bit more trouble to implement. Especially with individual server costs. Maybe voice memos are deleted after a week or two. If calling was added, would it be outsourced to some other protocol like how deltachat does it?

@dansup@mastodon.social I haven't worked on much deep programming projects in some time, but I'm looking forward to the source code release. I'd like to try different designs and see what I can contribute. I'm a fan of PHP and I'm interested in developing more in it. And I'd like to share what I think would be smoother design for the new app. Or at least take some burden off overall in developing.
