@PatrickOBeirne@mastodon.ie didn't go to Paris, can't speak for that cost. Paid for a slightly better cabin and considered it equivalent to a floating hotel. No opening window, alas, but at least natural light. If ferries were subsidised as much as flights.. The sheer lack of stress was worth it to me. We treated the ferry legs as part of the holiday. Can rock up as a foot pax 20 minutes before the ship sails and still get on board. No security theatre (bar a metal detector in France).
