  New term: Retrograde Nation. The US always totes being a developed nation, but it is devolving. Devolved nation already is a term meaning something else. So how about "Retrograde Nation"? A retrograde nation refers to a sovereign state that previously achieved developed country status but has subsequently experienced significant backward movement across multiple socioeconomic dimensions. #politics #US

  @octothorpe@mastodon.online I remember reading in a history book about a man who died from an infection after cutting himself while trimming his toenails. I have a lot of issues with our modern world but I often think about how at least a nick on the toe isn’t going to put us 6 ft under anymore. Unless RFK outlaws antibiotics, who knows?!
