Hello everyone! I am redoing my introduction post. It’s been forever since I’ve updated mine and it’s gotten quite old. I am 26 years of age, I will turn 27 on October 19 this year. Some of my interests include, reading, listening to music, technology, and watching TV shows. I also enjoy getting to know new people, and saying hello to others around. While I may not post often, you’ll see me lurking around, and I will sometimes reply to posts or topics that interest me. When it comes to reading, I like to read a lot of science fiction novels. Things like the Martian, Project Hail Mary, and I am always looking for book recommendations of that type. As far as music goes, I listen to a little bit of everything depending on my mood. If I am in the mood to party, then I’ll probably listen to EDM. if I want to relax, I will listen to classical music and if I want comfort, I will listen to gospel music. For TV shows, I like to watch medical dramas like Chicago fire, 911, and that’s sort of thing. I also enjoy watching StarTrek Deep Space 9, StarTrek the next generation and StarTrek Voyager. My technology interests include, artificial intelligence, reading up on the latest technology, and so much more. Hello, I’m Tarvo, a geneticist by training who somehow ended up spending most of his working life at the intersection of medicine, data, hospital IT and digitalisation. These days, my scientific work often means helping clinicians make sense of their data, while my day job is increasingly about preparing a hospital for a future in which AI will simply be part of medicine — whether institutions are ready for it or not. I joined FediScience because I miss thoughtful scientific conversation.
