Time-lapse process for Day 11: Rescue I struggled with the sirens. Pretty fun one tho! #Inktober #Emergency #RetroTV #FediArt #HumanArt #LineaSketch

Day 11: Rescue “Squad 51: Man trapped under an engine block. 345 Pinehurst Road. 3-4-5 Pinehurst, cross street, Rodgers. Time out 16:32” “Squad 51: 10-4. KMG365.” #Inktober #Emergency #RetroTV #FediArt #HumanArt #LineaSketch

If you follow me you probably know I’ve been on an #Emergency #RetroTV kick these last few months. Today’s #Inktober prompt is ‘Rescue’. I bet you can put 2 and 2 together. Stay tuned! 😅

They drink A LOT of coffee on #Emergency. No joke. Between Brackett, DeSoto, Gage, Chet, Dixie, Dr Early and the rest they keep the entire columbian coffee syndicate in spades. #RetroTV

How times change! Gage and DeSoto rescue a child locked in a hot car at a shopping plaza who’s been trapped for an hour unattended. They get him out and he seems to be okay thankfully and the child’s mom comes running out from a hair salon not to thank them but to berate them for breaking into her car without permission. I was SURE they would call a cop to arrest her and take the kid but nope! They hand the boy back and apologize and go on their merry way. 1973, BABY!! 😱 #Emergency #RetroTV

Another fun face pops up in S3 of #Emergency. Actress Marion Ross plays a dutiful secretary who calls the paramedics to save her stock-trading, high-pressured boss from a heart attack. This episode aired one year before she made her famous debut as Mrs. Cunningham on Happy Days. Heeeeeey! 👍 #RetroTV

Behold the price of gas in LA in 1973 courtesy of #Emergency .38 and .36 per gallon 😳 #RetroTV

These two guys, I swear. They’ve been help keeping me sane these last few weeks. I look forward to spending time with them every day. Time out 16:35. KMG-365. #Emergency #RetroTV

Having gotten back into #Emergency these last few months, today’s news of the passing of Randolph Mantooth hits hard. He had a great life and an amazing career. His role of paramedic John Gage was ground breaking at the time and inspired thousands of people to enter the field of medicine. He had great charisma and wonderful on screen chemistry w/ his partner and life-long friend Kevin Tighe. Rest in piece, sir. Time out: 12:03. KMG 365 #RetroTV https://www.tmz.com/2026/07/10/randolph-mantooth-dead/

Who should show up in S4 E3 of #Emergency but Batgirl herself, Yvonne Craig. I think my heart just skipped a beat. 🥰 Had such a crush on her as a kid, great to see her in stuff I’m unfamiliar with. This episode is directed by none other than DeSoto himself, Kevin Tighe too, pretty cool. #RetroTV

Wer kennt es nicht, Obstgarten ist gut fürs Hirn oder so. Zumindest Johannes B. Kerner schwörte damals darauf. #RetroTV #RetroWerbung

One of the more harrowing rescues from S2 of Emergency! Guy was being chased by police and went over a freeway overpass and became trapped, sustained head injury. Pretty great, realistic rescue too, the show continues to impress me. #Emergency #RetroTV

Just crazy the stars you run into when watching old TV shows like #Emergency. She’s only on screen for like a minute and her appearance in S2 E10 ‘Dinner Date’ is uncredited but this is a very very young Melissa Gilbert. It might be her very first TV appearance, I’m not sure. This was in 1972, two years before the premiere of Little House on the Prairie in ‘74. I almost missed her completely! #RetroTV

Another #StarTrek alum makes an appearance on #Emergency S2 E5, this time it’s William Campbell from Trek TOS, better known as Trelayne from The Squire of Gothos. 🖖 Campbell plays a drunk driver who plows into a little seven year old girl and puts her in critical condition for most of the episode. Despicable doesn’t do his performance justice. Of course this is #RetroTV and she finally recovers in the end thank goodness. 🙏
