Ich trauer noch immer etwas dem Hobby #FPV hinterher - aber DEFINITIV nicht dem, dass ich denen Geld geben musste.
Die haben massiv Lobbyarbeit betrieben, aber nie für das Hobby oder ihre Mitglieder, sondern immer nur mit dem Ziel das Fliegen ohne Verein und Flugplatz zu verbieten. Warum sollte man sich auch dafür stark machen dass Leute Freiheit haben und den Verein nicht brauchen? /S

turbine blades are running at extreme speeds and temperatures
actually ABOVE temperatures where the material would melt/deform, but there's aerodynamic cooling through holes inside of them
it's all very complicated and if things go wrong, then things explode in random directions. Typically they are checked thoroughly on a regular basis. That said… impacts (like birds or other debris) can fuck shit up suddenly. And checking might miss damage if done wrong.
