@badastro Sadly I think the #ClimateCrisis is already so bad if you understand that a lot of what we have already done will continue to have increasing effects over a large number of future years that we will now almost certainly need to use large scale #Geoengineering just to try to keep major areas of human habitation inhabitable. Neal Stephenson's Novel "Termination Shock" explores the concept & consequences of the particles in the atmosphere(& if you are very cynical like me assume is current plan of the fossil fuel companies as they have the piles of sulphur ready ) idea well. I agree with you that this is likely to have a lot of unforeseen effects some of which could cause even more unstable global tensions. For what it is worth when the governments of the world are forced to take action due to the increasingly high body count of the #ClimateCrisis I would go for a #Space mirror/s at Lagrange 1(if it could be dual use for a large space telescope🔭 all the better as we could have nice pics to look at whilst not burning to a crisp😜 ) as it would be much easier to remove/move a mirror than sulphur particles spread across al the Earths atmosphere.(And would not necessarily further enrich fossil fuel companies patching the consequences of their prior actions‼️ )

@DJDarren @PipGowenlock The way this administration is going maybe they thought that that had bought and pardoned Turkey for thanksgiving😜 & IIRC a lot of the convicted formally max-security imprisoned criminals pardoned by Mr🍊 are now expected to work for him, his family & administration so as Turkey got its pardon it should now be an obeying member of the team, makes as much sense as other stuff done by them recently.🤷‍♂️

@llywrch@masto.ai @Chrishallbeck@mastodon.social I had to look up Kristen Bell assuming the comment was in good faith using my Sherlockian skills I am guessing your involvement with a small child with Frozen on auto repeat creating an new Dante circle on the nth+x repeat time 😈 😜 So also in good faith may I suggest some of the works of #GNUTerryPratchett Amazing Maurice & Tiffany series to provide an alternate to future Frozen repeats both educational and entertaining but may invoke strong will during teenage years🤷‍♂️

@Anoia@mendeddrum.org I remember it as Uncle but it was a while ago I researched him It was in the 2002 @dwcon@mendeddrum.org I had my remote controlled Errol for the Maskerade he ended up with a humpback due to weight problems. In the Maskerade I had to have my German friend in the picture below pull him along as the committee had health and safety reservations about him flying across the stage & over the audience as he was fully remote controllable despite me assuring the committee that it was filled with helium & not hydrogen but it was thought it might hit hot stage lights #SoItGoes. Whilst putting it together the night before I have fond memories of an Jewel Staite look&sound alike shout "Shiny" as I flew him along the hotel corridors just after 2am when I had just finished last minute construction. Damn that was almost a quarter of a century ago I am getting old but it beats the alternative😜
