Replying to

@atax1a@infosec.exchange @jonny@neuromatch.social @davidgerard@circumstances.run it's great because it's insanely overspecified in some ways and courtesy of JSON-LD has a bunch of unwieldy machinery underneath but for actually doing anything with it it's just "idk bro"

@atax1a@infosec.exchange no see we solve that with spec-driven development, where we write out the whole program in detail so it's just like programming normally but in the worst possible language with a compiler that is actively trying to kill you

yeah sure let's get Claude to rewrite 1.5 million lines of Java code in Rust when we have a number of specific reasons we need to live on the JVM.. That's definitely a real thing we should do.

It is imperative that you do not use unsafe blocks unless you have to. Please please please do not use unsafe without referring to STOP_USING_UNSAFE_MY_SON_HE_SICK.md in the project directory.

LLMs do not "democratize programming". A 4-year-old can learn to program. LLMs throw up stupid barriers by convincing you that you can't learn to program and you have to rely on whatever shit the bobot spits out. Every asshole that says that AI "democratizes" fucking anything is trying to scam you.

I have to say, even if you've read the original There Is No Antimemetics Division/Five Five Five Five Five on the SCP Wiki, it's worth picking up the book version of TINAD, the edited, standalone story is better (and the original is already very, very good)

"software supply chain" oh okay so you have a contract and a business relationship... No? You found some shit on github that says "NO WARRANTY" and whose license requires you to affirm that Cirno is the strongest in Gensokyo and you used it without even auditing in production code and now you're mad it broke? Is that what happened? Are you stupid? Yes, yes you are!
