AI in terms of social impact makes me tired on a level I haven't experienced since the COVID pandemic before-vaccination era

Yet another banger indie games marketing idea that I have but I might not have time and energy to see it through

We got this! Things have value regardless of the world moving in a different direction!
The day might come when I won't run out of time presenting...
But it is not this day!

Google has finally caught up with indexing TikTok videos in the search results 🆗
It's useful at times! Because it used to be impossible to find even the most popular TikToks through search 😬

I like this ✅ At least on the surface, because I didn't have any time to look at it in detail yet
You know what's super annoying about the super rich?
They can say whatever vile thing comes to their mind without consequences.
An elected leader would pay dearly for the same evil quotes that make the headlines for tech moguls and only are ever used to drive clicks.
But a powerful rich oligarch, even after openly admitting their goal is to harm humanity, can continue making money and using it to heavily influence our reality.

It's not a "oh they don't have beef, I'll take chicken" casual kind of choice!
And even if statistically people who have strong feelings against AI are a minority - it is a minority vocal and stern in their decisions like never seen before!
Just donated to Kdenlive to help the project continue work on the amazing open source and free (as in beer) video editing tool. ✂️
Donate to the open source software you use!!! ☝️😠

I want to see Steam succeed only because they are pushing Linux gaming forward.
Otherwise I would have never gotten entangled in their ecosystem this much.
Now I own thousands of games on Steam, two old Steam Controllers, one new Steam Controller, and one Steam Link. I advise indie developers releasing their games on Steam.
I still wouldn't mind some options, some competition in that field. There is none.

Got a video recommended called "Steam is not the GOOD MONOPOLY we think it is".
NO SHIT SHERLOCK, IT'S ALMOST LIKE YOU SHOULD NOT DEVELOP A PARASOCIAL ATTACHMENT TO A FUCKING COMPANY?

@eniko@mastodon.gamedev.place This is insane, impractical, and unenforceable under any normal circumstances. What, we want to prevent minors from using technology now? For what purpose? It doesn't make any sense at all.

Someone should make a BIOS update manager for Linux because I don't trust my USB flash drives
I have some slots freeing up in the next months, so if you are indie, small, medium, or big, let's help you get this game to the players 🤙🕹️📈

Why telling an indie dev to "make a different/better game" as a business advice meets with such strong resistance, sometimes even animosity?
Do y'all really just want to make ONE SPECIFIC GAME and nothing else?
I understand that it might be disrespectful of someone's effort when put in the way I did it in the first sentence...
But this is by far the BEST way for us indie devs to get visibility (and sales). Some games just look more interesting and shareworthy than others.

Do I have lots of tasks to complete today? Sure. Do I instead fixate on creating a perfect spreadsheet once again? Of course I do.

@landelare I suggest maybe looking into the Steam Hardware Survey? And seeing what's the bottom line there
And I suspect there are hobbyist databases like that (data collected by ProtonDB comes to mind) that can help too
