Replying to

@joho@mastodon.online @EUCommission@ec.social-network.europa.eu @hpod16@eupolicy.social I think that #canada has already big mastodon instances, and even an atproto one (nobody is perfect!). Would be very cool if Carney had a #fediverse account

Replying to

@joho@mastodon.online @EUCommission@ec.social-network.europa.eu In that regard, I think they should have their own Canadian instance. What we really need on the EU instance is all the European MPs, all the members of the Commission, and all 27 governments. They will receive a lot of feedback, and a large number of people still use X because "it is where politicians speak" #canada @hpod16@eupolicy.social

Replying to

@leanderlindahl@social.folkdata.se @_elena@mastodon.social Leave alone, for God sake which #atproto server they use. They could eventually change it. Somehow I don't feel like those high ethereal have for real an app on their phone, and they post personally. They will have a social media manager or someone in care of their social media presence. Which drive to another question. Why don't they have an account on their @ec.social-network.europa.eu ? It's money already 'spent'. Crossposter services do exist.

Replying to

@admin@burnout.cafe @Gargron@mastodon.social according to mastodon.world TOS their users shouldn't post nudity without a Content Warning, so I guess you can report those kind of posts, if you're inclined so. This post anyway has so many explicit hashtags that shouldn't really be a problem to handle at your instance level. I don't usually see this kind of content, because I'm not searching for it, I follow different hashtags and people from those top instances

Italian TV channel La7 used Nvidia DLSS 5 trailer footage, then filed copyright strikes against Nvidia’s own YouTube video and other creators' videos

Replying to

@t3rcermillenium@mastodon.social the best thing we could do is to keep following them on the #fediverse and show them with engagement numbers that this is the real place to be. Well, they shouldn't even be on #eurosky they have to have their own PDS eventually. And by the way Von Der Leyen, Lagarde and all the commissioners SHOULD have a fediverse account. @hpod16@eupolicy.social @andypiper@macaw.social @_elena@mastodon.social @EUCommission@ec.social-network.europa.eu

a #fediverse platform that deserve some love is #NeoDB for tracking media consumption

https://neodb.net/

works nice, produce some cool web user profiles, integrate also with #bluesky and can even be bridged with #bridgyfed

NeoDB

Mark the things you love.

Replying to

@_elena@mastodon.social I have a very partial view on #atmosphere based on bridged accounts. Of all the people I know reporting to being interested in this w thing, no one did effectively mentioned or tried #eurosky , that is already available and people can migrate to at no social cost.

Replying to

@fediversereport @Mastodon I'm not sure if I agree with @laurenshof sentence "It is the culture of the federation layer, formed through years of shared follows, shared boosts, shared blocks and shared arguments about what is acceptable, and it governs even though no institution maintains it." whether is likely true that most of #fediverse users, today, has neuter or bad opinion about AI or whatever other controversial topic, nobody has the exact same "federation layer experience" as someone else. Each one of us follow determined people, or topic, and silence or block other and that means that my federated timeline is different than yours. If I'm seriously uninterested into something , say a bubble, or a continental popular music contest, or a sport, or whatever I won't search for it, I won't comment it, I would eventually silence the topic, if it gets too noisy I'm not going to tell all people worldwide not to talk about it. I follow the creator of a particular good software because I think is relevant to hear what he thinks about software, that does not mean I agree on all his opinions about anything

Replying to

Replying to

@fediversereport Fediverse is resilient because everyone can afford to run a family server. What about a different path where no new big servers are needed because each user is on its own server ? Software like #holossocial can solve the need of technical skills

ah, ok, got it nevermind, I was thinking that

mastodon timelines allows to read long articles, if not to write them
and from a #bluesky user perspective, even a 500 char post is a long article 🙂
