Vacation without Smartphones can be so good.
And damn I came to the realization that I really hate smartphones.
It is not healthy if humans can jump into a entertainment machine the second they feel the slightest amount of boredom. So many things happened because we did commit us to not use a smartphone in this vacation, which we failed a few times.
I find sometimes having rather aggravated emotions against smartphones especially because I feel helpless against them. I feel I have to fight for attention and room in the mind of a person if a smartphone is present or the notifications are on.
Even if the person is only using small social media like discord or Fedi this is significant.
If a person is using super addictive social media like TikTok, Instagram or YouTube Shorts it gets even harder.
Humanity really needs a way how to handle that stuff.
The „Penpal“ content on YouTube might be the sadest stuff I have seen in a long time.
They made a competition out of writing letters and some are even running subscription services.
Germany is so fucked up.
You park your car in a street in a big city.
You go on a company trip for 4 days.
Then you have to pay a 350€ fine because someone put a sign up to your car 1 day after you left declaring it to a non parking zone.
You do literally everything right and you get fined.
I cannot fucking wait to not live in Berlin anymore.
Police and Firefighter sirens multiple times throughout the the night every single fucking day is too much.
I just can’t anymore.
I watch down from my tower to the duty square.
There is a date.
They dance a little bit, give each other a hug, prepare to part.
But they don’t want to part.
They look back as they part.
They wave at each other.
They are happy as they finally focus on their way ahead.
The moment of separation was overcome and what left are the recognition of a new human in their life.
Life is a butterfly.
