Last night in Gaza was pure terror. Constant bombing, drones and warplanes flying overhead all night. My children couldn't sleep from fear. Life here is unbearable. I was frozen for ten days and felt like I'd been erased from existence.

From Gaza, this account is my only proof that I'm still alive.

Thank you to the Mastodon team for reactivating my account.

And thank you to every friend who stood up for me. You gave me back my voice.

I'm Mahmoud, 30 years old, from Gaza. I'm still here. I'm still fighting.

Please leave a comment so I know you're watching. ❤️🇵🇸

The humanitarian situation in Gaza is deteriorating daily, and the ongoing suffering defies description. What is happening there is a true humanitarian catastrophe that violates the most basic human rights to life, dignity, and security, amidst severe shortages of food, medicine, and essential healthcare.

I'm from Gaza.

I'm not writing to you from the news, but from the water queue.

Every day we wake up searching for clean water, for a phone call, for a normal life. We don't want much, we just want to live with dignity.

One water truck brings joy to an entire neighborhood here.

Don't forget Gaza in your prayers and words. #Gaza #Palestine #WaterForGaza

For this very reason, the initiatives I mentioned earlier, which attempt to reach these "displaced" people who have lost their land and

The harsh truth is that UNRWA has been isolated and its operations almost entirely undermined in the Strip, and it's no longer able to provide the essential services upon which people's lives depended.
