I am stuck at the dealership for the next 3 hours while they do the free anti theft update and complimentary check engine scan, but

The oil change is $100 (A woman just had her engine destroyed by doing her oil change elsewhere)

The full check engine diagnostic is $250

I still need gas to get home $50

Maybe an extra $100 in case it is a somewhat expensive problem with the engine for a total of $350 towards repairs

I got to Los Angeles at 10:30pm for subscription package delivery when my check engine light came on 😑

I am taking it to the dealership since they have a complimentary check engine light scan, but I don’t know how much the repair will be. I also need an oil change. I need to raise $500 just in case by the appointment time

I also need gas money to get back to San Diego. I have a doctor’s appointment at 12:30pm in Coronado for my psychiatrist.
