A new package, @sigma/layer-webl, allows rendering custom #WebGL layers in addition to the nodes and edges ones. This allows some pretty powerful things, such as heat maps, contour lines, or more simply showing a curve surrounding a given set of nodes. https://npmjs.com/package/@sigma/layer-webgl

I just added Helveg to the "In the wild" section of #sigmajs homepage: https://helveg.net

Their way to highlight "error nodes" with animated visual effects is stunning!

A new package, @sigma/export-image, handles exporting a #sigmajs instance as an image (PNG or JPG) file.

It replaces an old snippet that was only exposed from some code example, and handles more options.

https://www.npmjs.com/package/@sigma/export-image

You can try it in the StoryBook here:

✨ Sigma.js Storybook has just been revamped. ✨

Stories are now better organized with a cleaner layout, making them easier to navigate and explore. Plus, the source code is more readable by default, with less noise around.

We just released @sigma/utils, with two helpers:
- `fitViewportToNodes` allows moving the camera to fit the best a set of nodes
- `getNodesInViewport` allows retrieving the list of nodes visible in the current viewport

The package is here:
https://npmjs.com/package/@sigma/utils

We also added stories to showcase those two helpers:
