Hoping for the ABNDP to come to the realization that taking Danielle Smith's side on this issue is not the smartest move. The idea that "we must back O&G profiteers because we live in Alberta" is not the kind of governance expected from the under-represented in Alberta. This isn't about Ottawa vs. Alberta. This is about our tax dollars being sunk into private profits at the grave expense of our national resources and environment. Danielle Smith knows that the ABNDP is pro-oil. She didn't post this because she actually believes in what the sensationalized Rebel News-inspired meme says. She posted this because she wants to divide us, knowing that the ABNDP has already taken shots at the Federal NDP, and Avi Lewis specifically, for refusing to support excessive oil extraction and for supporting green alternatives. She posted this because she wants the ABNDP to join her divisive politics against Federal bodies in solidiarty with Alberta Oil. So far, it looks like the ABNDP has taken the bait, by this comment on their repost of Danielle Smith to "prove" that they are on the side of O&G. Let's be clear, they don't need to do that. We already know (whether we agree with it or not), that they are pro-oil. We don't need them unironically repost Danielle Smith to know. Note that neither Avi Lewis nor Ottawa are against Alberta industry. This is what Avi really said: "The oil industry is unwilling to pay for this pipeline because even they know the world is moving away from fossil fuels. This project leaves Canadians bearing all the risks of a bad investment without any of the rewards. Projects that truly serve the national interest would lower costs, create good jobs, protect our environment and prepare us for the green economy of the future." #abpoli #ableg #cdnpoli #oil #energy #Environment #climate #climatechange #climatecrisis

Solar Rights Alliance on SB 868 (just signed into law in California) "...This new Plug-In solar law does three things: Creates a statewide safety standard for Plug-In solar. Limits the size of these systems to 1200 watts (about 3-4 panels). Creates a new rule that lets us use these safety certified systems without having to pay the utility a fee or get permission from the utility. Millions of households in other countries use these Plug-In systems every day to make their electricity more affordable. In Germany, people can buy these systems online, in hardware stores, and in big box stores like Ikea and Walmart. These portable solar panels come with integrated microinverters, and they can be hung from a balcony, set out on a patio, or placed in a yard, and then safely plugged into a wall outlet. These Plug-In systems can help renters and homeowners alike immediately lower their energy bill. And now, they’re coming to California! Here's what to expect next: The Plug-In solar law goes into effect on January 1st, 2027. It’ll probably take a few more months after that for manufacturers to get their first round of products certified by safety experts, as the law requires. We’re keeping a close eye on developments to ensure that you're among the first to know when safe, certified Plug-In solar systems start hitting shelves. ..." #pluginsolar #solar #climateresilience#energy
