⬆️ @woozle@toot.cat Are you saying #Biden was well-intentioned? Was he misled when he slapped a 400% increase in #Tariffs on Chinese EVs? ➡️ https://mastodon.social/@rameshgupta/116811652885232060 Intentions don't matter when House/Senate votes are carefully managed. I don't want to give them an unwarranted escape hatch. Newly Published Study: EPA Atrazine Plan Will Leave 99% of Most-Contaminated Waterways Polluted at Unsafe Levels

A federal plan to clean up atrazine would leave 99% of the nation’s most contaminated watersheds polluted with the pesticide at levels the Environmental Protection Agency itself considers unsafe, according to a peer-reviewed study published today in the Journal of Environmental Quality. Lakes, rivers and streams in these watersheds provide drinking water for millions of Americans.

Analysis: Atrazine Pollutes 25% of River Miles in Continental U.S. at Levels Known to Harm Wildlife

Levels of the hormone-disrupting pesticide atrazine known to harm aquatic wildlife are estimated to contaminate more than 25% of all river and stream miles in the lower 48 states — nearly 860,000 miles, according to a new analysis by the Center for Biological Diversity. The analysis, which assessed Environmental Protection Agency water contamination data, also found that dangerous levels of atrazine pollute waterways relied on by more than 20% of U.S. surface-water treatment facilities, reservo

This radioactive gas can quietly seep into homes and is linked to 21,000 deaths a year in the U.S. alone

Radon is an invisible radioactive gas linked to lung cancer, especially in smokers. Testing homes is the only way to detect dangerous levels and reduce exposure.
