Space Catitude 🚀

"And that's the end" says the writer. Quite unflappable, isn't she? #Monsterdon

@futurebird@sauropods.win One of the simple Windows games I used to play a lot, "Klotski", was basically this. Pretty sure I can solve it, but I'm getting lost trying to do it in my head. 😅

Tubi is not working for me this morning. So, I decided to check the Internet Archive. I did find correct "Sting of Death" (1966) -- I think: https://archive.org/details/sting-of-death-1080p But also a #WrongFrogs "Sting of Death (The Elgin Hour)" (1955). https://archive.org/details/sting-of-death-the-elgin-hour #Monsterdon [EDIT: found the full movie on IA, I think, replaced the trailer link]

@thevhswizard@retro.pizza Obviously the odds of somebody spinning up a new Fedi platform in real time are low. But what exactly is a "webcomics platform", technically? We already have Pixelfed and some other federated image-sharing platforms, so could one simply use those? What would be lacking?

@paco@infosec.exchange To be fair, those were the people trying to kill her. #Monsterdon

I'm going to have to rewatch this #Monsterdon I have no idea WTH is going on.

#Monsterdon Well, that was another quick ending. But then the opening title covered it I guess. That was a proper 50s monster movie, for me. I give it 5 giant bugs! 🦗 🦗 🦗 🦗 🦗 (Crickets will have to do -- no grasshopper emojis).

#Monsterdon Disabled car. Drugged tea. Spooky psychic crystals. Not looking good.

Intriguing pattern on that book. #Monsterdon

#Monsterdon I mean, you could totally ram your head into a wall in the dark. 🤔

"Land's sake!" Is that like "Lawks!"? #Monsterdon

I think the title of "Worst Monsterdon" is probably still held by "Vampire of Bikini Beach"..? WIth "Attack of the Bee Girls" a close 2nd. 🤔 #Monsterdon

#Monsterdon Sorry, but you are very guilty, dude.

See. There IS some good photography in here. #Monsterdon

#Monsterdon Secret passage FTW.

#Monsterdon I thought she wasn't coming to the party.

#Monsterdon Um. No. No, I have not wanted to murder my spouse. That's just you, dude.

#Monsterdon "Kill 'em all!" Maybe Lavinia knows something we don't..?

@klu9@ohai.social @Taweret@timeloop.cafe Yes, this is the sort of bad I appreciate in a #Monsterdon

Will my phone be charged in time for #Monsterdon ..? Or will I have to watch the movie on my desktop computer..? In a race to find out... ⏱️

#Monsterdon Oh, that's not creepy at all.

#Monsterdon Okay. Skeletom marionette?

@VeroniqueB99@mastodon.social It really does. Wow.

Okay, so NOW we get sad music for the floating corpses.... #Monsterdon

#Monsterdon Charging a guy with a spear isn't really a good strategy.

@Lazarou@mastodon.social Despite this movie premise sounding absolutely dreadful, the little bit I saw while downloading seemed not so bad. At least the photography was okay. Sort of classic Doctor Who level of realism, maybe..? #Monsterdon

This seems like entirely unnecessary exposition, TBH. #Monsterdon

Hmm. Okay. I've seen a little bit more of this movie this time. Someday I may even watch the whole thing. #Monsterdon

Yes, in a book. Are you not clear on "mystery writer" ! #Monsterdon

Rolling. Guess I'm watching it on the computer. At least the first bit. #Monsterdon

Thanks to @Taweret@timeloop.cafe for a fine evening of #Monsterdon I feel that filled the bill.

Egon... Is this off-brand Igor..? #Monsterdon

#Monsterdon rolling. "She's so amusing"

#Monsterdon Spooky specters are very hippy.

@CatsWander@mastodon.social @Taweret@timeloop.cafe Check the #MonsterdonDoubleFeature tag. I believe these are the movies streamed afterwards by 見る @miru@social.miyaku.media (I think different people do the double feature movie)

#Monsterdon cometh.... in about half an hour! "The Bat" with Vincent Price and Agnes Moorehead, available on Tubi: https://tubitv.com/movies/351000/the-bat

Oh. He took her to his lair. Guess it's true love, then. #Monsterdon

@Lazarou@mastodon.social Could be. 🤷‍♂️ #Monsterdon

I guess I was not wrong to worry about the smoke! #Monsterdon

@VeroniqueB99@mastodon.social Sadly, I think it's going to be more of a 1968 or a 2001. Hopefully not 1939 or 1861.

#Mastodon #Fediverse newbie advice: Before you start following people, I strongly recommend: Create an avatar and/or banner image. Write a short bio. Write some posts. Pin a couple of them. Then when you request to follow people, they'll be able to see some hint of who you are (and that you're not a spam or troll bot). Also, post with some tags, particularly the #Introduction tag (probably with one of those posts you pin). This way, when people check who you are (if you follow them or they consider following you), they can see a hint of who you are (and that you are a "who" rather than a "what").

#Monsterdon Compositing sold a lot easier in B&W. I guess when you're already interpreting color, it's not so off putting when it doesn't match perfectly.

So is the monster wearing scuba flippers, or are those supposed to be anatomy..? 🤔 #Monsterdon

Lair is made of explodium..? But why..? #Monsterdon

Lot of fire in this story. #Monsterdon

#Monsterdon Adorable little coffins. Oh guns and panicky people. That'll go well.

Okay. Checking out the #Monsterdon ... Hey! That's Samuel T. Cogley, Attorney at Law! I think I will be in on this one. I am a Vincent Price fan.

Such a shame this dance never caught on... #Monsterdon
