I still love this control panel from last night's #monsterdon. Most of the switches, lights, and dials make some kind of logical sense. But, what was even going through the set decorator's mind when he built this?

#Monsterdon Slightly Disappointed by The Bat's costume. In the 1930 version, he had a cape like Batman. But even more disappointed by this Vincent Price "iced coffee" recipe. More like coffee and clove flavored iced milk. Not good.

I'm still thinking about last night's #monsterdon. By 1959, I think gas lamps would be a real novelty for the younger characters, but they acted like it was perfectly mundane.

#Monsterdon Being a mystery writer would be a great opportunity to go around talking about murders. I'd do it all the time if I were a mystery writer.

#monsterdon "Boy, I've never seen so many doors!" He's lived kind of a sheltered life.

#Monsterdon Prehistoric times were lousy with caves. You couldn't go a hundred yards without bumping into one.

#Monsterdon The original movie had more time between joining the crew of the rocketship and the inevitable attack. They used it to have the lady characters talk about which men they were going to claim to make babies with, and to do a bunch of magic tricks involving robots.

#Monsterdon What if we showed the most boring part of the movie again, but this time with an echo?

#Monsterdon Yes, ma'am. I won't, ma'am.

#Monsterdon "How accurately will they be able to time their return?" Well, it was fine until you said that. But now that you've foreshadowed it, they're going to overshoot.

#Monsterdon "One Million years BC!" Which is a shame because that's definitely too late for dinosaurs.

#Monsterdon For a second, I thought they were going to do a fake-out ending where it turned out it was all a book she was writing, and the camera would pull back to reveal that all the dead people were still there.
